Rossi Down Hand in Development of New Yamaha Motor
Phillip Island - Yamaha Movistar rider Valentino Rossi does not want to go back to failing to reach the 10th world title in MotoGP 2018. The Doctor is now directly involved in the development of the latest YZF-M1 motorcycle that will be used next season.

Rossi's chances of becoming world champion this season are sure to be closed after the 38-year-old rider failed to finish in Japan's MotoGP race at Motegi Circuit last weekend. The former Ducati rider then plans to start 2018 MotoGP perfectly with a direct jump in the development of the latest motor.

"We do not have any new parts or components yet, but I've told the mechanics what they should do," Rossi said, quoted from Tuttomotoriweb, Friday (20/10/2017).

"They are already working to develop the 2018 Yamaha motor and the mechanics already know what to do, but at this moment I do not know what kind of motorcycle will be completed in February," he continued.

Currently Rossi is ranked fifth MotoGP standings in 2017 with Raihan 168 points. The nine-time world champion is 76 points adrift of Marc Marquez who tops the standings.

Failure Valentino Rossi to pursue the 10th world title in this season could not be separated from the poor performance of the YZR-M1 motorcycle. The Doctor often complained of not being able to appear impressive in the rain races that became his expertise.
